I hope everyone had a very good Thanksgiving. I spent mine with my whole family at my sister’s house for her “first” Thanksgiving dinner that she has ever prepared. She did a remarkable job and it tasted wonderful.
Before and after Thanksgiving had been spent getting ready to go back to q-school to improve my status for the 2005 season. After a long week, I am now fully exempt for next year!! I must give a huge thank you to my golf coach, John Godwin, for caddying for me and keeping me well grounded. During the first two days of q-school I hit the ball very well but the putts just wouldn’t drop in. Hello third day, when the putts were falling! The fourth day (cut day) my putting stroke left me all together but I was able to remain under par for the tournament. On the last day I had a couple of hiccups early on but ended up making a birdie on eighteen to get me into a 7 person playoff for six spots for fully exempt status. We played three holes (9, 10 and 18) and I went par, par, birdie. I am so glad to have that behind me now and looking forward to next year.
I am taking a week off and enjoying some down time. I will be spending Christmas at home with family and planning a trip to see my Georgia “Bull Dogs” play in the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day.
I wish each and every one of you the best during this holiday season!! I look forward to seeing you at each of the tour stops in the coming year and please know how grateful I am to have such terrific friends and supporters. You are GREAT!! |
