Well, first off I am going to briefly mention my trips to
Youngstownand Rochester. I really enjoyed both courses
and believe that they set up really well for my game.
I can't wait to go back next year and take some revenge.
And to all that called or emailed wondering about any possible injury
or sickness at Rochester I would like to say thanks for
your concern, but I am perfectly healthy. I just became what
my coach calls the bug, "sometimes you're the bug
and sometimes you are the windshield, unfortunately
I was a bug that imploded. I took those weekends to get
reenergized and refocused on my game.

The following week in Atlantic City was much better. The
week started off rather fun as I took part in the "Taste
of the LPGA" where I helped a chef prepare and
serve one of their specialties. I helped Scott Swiderski
make a dish that had tuna and caviar; it was rather tasty
if you like sushi. He is the head chef at an excellent
restaurant in downtown Philadelphia, Buddakan.
It was extremely nice to once again see Deb and Rich
as they continue to be my lucky charms. I am tempted
to have them come to every tournament, hmmm. They were
with me in Delaware where I had a good finish and then
this week. Thanks for always coming with bright smiles
and lots of birdies. I can't wait to see them again in
Kutztown, PA; hopefully they will keep their streak alive.
The golf course was one that you had to take advantage
of the par 5's in order to not give strokes back to the
field. I was pleased with my game, especially my putting
as it continues to improve. I am getting much more confident
with putts outside of the 5 and 6 feet range. I have
made some long 20 footers, which always helps the cause.
I am looking forward to returning to the U.S. Open in
Oregon and can't wait to give you a full report.
Thanks for being patient with my diary, as I got a little
behind, oops. The second half of the season looks to
be promising. I am ready to become the windshield once again.
And for a funny little tidbit about A.C, if you are ever in need
of some live bait you can always go to the nearest soda machine
and check to see if your favorite worms are available,
see accompanying photo. It's always intriguing what you may see across this
beautiful country, haha |
